Calm was not for me and it’s difficult interface and subscription methods with no support left me more anxious than when I started. I do not recommend.
i‘d rather give 0 stars.

I've been using the Calm app for almost six months and do not care for it. I need the sleep stories is to distract my racing mind so that I can fall asleep. It looked like there was plenty of stories to choose from. But, some of the narrators have irritating voices and a lot of the selection is for children. Most of the stories are so boring that I lose focus and then I am dealing my racing mind again. There are about five stories that are pretty good. I have been hoping for something new in the selection; as, after six months I am getting bored with the same five stories. I keep using it though because I paid for a whole year.
Got a free trial from Amex, didn’t use it. You have to cancel or you get billed, and it’s impossible to cancel. What a scam.
I neve used this service and do not want it. I keep on trying to cancel for weeks now and cannot seem to do so. Please cancel this service immediately.

This nothing but a trial membership scam. They know statically a percentage of the people will forget or be unable to cancel their membership allowing them to steal $70. There are people in our world that make their living through exploits and scams and these are those people.
Never been one for meditation but I do like to listen to audio books in bed as they help me drift off to sleep (I set a timer). I came across this App during the UK’s 3rd lockdown and I thought I'd give meditation a try and also test out the bedtime stories. I'm doing a lot of solo walking because of Covid lockdown so thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give meditation another try. I'm afraid either meditation is still not for me or the narrators voice grated to the point I became irritated - is it Tamara? I have listened to two of the Apps bedtime stories and while they are 'okay', I find my audio books provide the same rhythm/tone and help me drift off. All in all I felt paying for this App wasn’t worth it for me as I wouldn’t be using it very often, however, if you do like to mediate and you don’t already use audio books then this App would be good value for money.
Regarding cancelling the free 7 day trial period. I received an email reminding me my free trial subscription was coming to an end on day 4 and I was also informed I needed to cancel 24 hours before the free trials end (so really you are only getting 6 days free trial). Fearing I’d forget and get caught out I cancelled straightaway. Unlike other reviewers I was able to cancel my free trial subscription with just a couple of clicks on my iPhone. I went to the settings within the App, clicked on subscription and there was the cancel subscription option. After pressing cancel subscription I received a pop up message informing me my subscription was cancelled and that I had until the end of the 7 day trial period to continue using the App for free before it would stop (I screen grabbed this) – easy!!!

I've been using this app for almost a year. I actually quite like Tamara Levitt's voice. But I'm cancelling it because there's too much talk and not enough meditation. And also because in yesterday's 'mindful eating' session, there was a whole thing about not eating a packet of biscuits. For ED recoverers, this could be quite triggering. I'm also annoyed that you can't extend the length of the daily meditation sessions. The section without chat is sometimes only 3-4 mins long.
For those of you who subscribed on Apple, go to the App store on your phone, click the picture in the top right, then choose subscriptions. This is where you can cancel. I've just done this with no problems.
I have ot experienced any of the negative comments (yet perhaps). I think it has improved over what people are saying I think it is reasonabley priced with celebrities reading 'sleep stories', which has greatly improved my sleep. I think that it can soon get boring due to limited amount of content. The daily meditation woman is annoying and shame its always her. Overall a decent product thats helped me sleep.
No notice prior to renew. No email to let you know you're still subscribed. haven't used the app for close to a year, and they charged me almost twice the amount of the first year.
Randomly had to set up an account again even though I had one, right when I needed to actually be calm. Super not okay, lots of annoying demographic questions as well as requests to access my accounts. Will tell my partner to leave this program, I can listen to rain on YouTube without paying and without the crap corporate nonsense - and that's saying a lot
Trying to get rid of Calm app. No way to contact them. Cancellation method they offer stalls. So much for stress relief
